Job Descriptions
Family of 3 living in Marylebone are seeking an experienced and professional Housekeeper to work alongside a head housekeeper enuring the home is kept to a high standard at all time. The house is a large 7 bedroom townhouse over 4 floors in Marylebone.
You must like dogs as daily walking will be required of 2 small ones!
As the housekeeper your responsibilities will include:
- Carry out all cleaning requirements to a high standard
- Laundry Management: putting clothes in laundry, moving to dryer, ironing
- Polishing silver and copper
- Keeping track of stocks of household provisions and raising any concerns to the House Manager
- Liaising with the chef and House Manager to ensure breakfast provisions are stocked and coordinating with the Weekend Housekeeper to ensure the kitchen is stocked for the weekend
- Meeting tradespeople, when the House Manager is unable to do so
- Providing assistance on prepping for travel including packing and unpacking travel suitcases
- Running errands, including dropping off and collecting dry cleaning
- Looking after 2 small dogs, walking them and providing day to day care, reinforcing their training using techniques that can be learned from the House Manager
- Looking after and maintaining plants in the household, removing dead or dying flowers from otherwise good arrangements. Keep vase storage organised
- Weekly clean of the family office nearby
- Keep in constant communication with the House Manager and reporting to her with any queries or issues
- Occasionally assist with providing healthy breakfasts. The family employ a chef who starts at 1pm each day.
The ideal Housekeeper will have:
- Proven experience as a Housekeeper
- Ability to work with little supervision and take direction from the House Manager
- Have a 'can' do' positive personality, happy to respond to changing requests
- Prioritisation and time management skills
- Ability to work quickly without compromising quality
- Good knowledge of both verbal and written English
- Be numerate and able to communicate via email and whatsapp etc.
This is a live out role working Monday to Friday 7.30am - 3.30pm with flexibility required
