We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to work within a dynamic, high spec property development group.

Candidates should be ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified, but those who are QBE with extensive commercial experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Consolidation of Management Accounts across the Group
  • Profit and Loss, Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Calculate actual expenditures and rolling forecast
  • Inter-company reconciliations
  • Preparation of budget and financial plans
  • Preparation of financial statements (operating and investment)
  • Present financial reports to Directors and Investors including reports of current and prospective developments
  • Ensuring timely preparation of full set of financial statements for audit
  • Review tax matters (such as VAT and corporate/income tax)
  • Detailed analysis for the Group, including identifying and evaluating strategic business risk and mitigation
  • Performing credit reviews for potential tenants and suppliers
  • Serving as a key driver for implementation of Group policies, processes and systems
  • Attend funding meetings
  • Involvement in capital approval process
  • Liaising with external auditors
  • Negotiating with investors and financial institutions
  • Oversee work of on-site transactional accounts team

Candidates should be very commercially minded with the ability to interact with individuals across all areas of the business. You should have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role.

A private equity backed international manufacturing and engineering group seek a strategic and very commercial CFO to partner with the existing CEO. The group are in a very acquisitive period, with the view to be AIM listed within the next 3 years.

This international group currently operate 8 entities across Europe with a combined turnover of €18M. Each entity currently uses an external third party for their accounting functions.

Based in Hammersmith, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Standardise financial systems and processes across the group
  • Align funding for cash flow needs
  • Develop and control annual business plans
  • Work with CEO on strategic planning
  • Assist CEO with strategic growth opportunities

This role requires an extremely dynamic individual who is excited about assisting with growth both commercially and financially. This role would not suit someone who simply wishes to act as a "caretaker."

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Tax Accountant or CTA to work more exclusively as an R&D Tax Accountant.

You will be joining an international R&D consultancy who have ambitious growth plans and fully committed to seeing these ambitious growth plans to fruition.

Responsibilities:

  • Qualifying clients’ R&D claims
  • Full claim analysis, preparation and submission
  • Assistance with the UK corporation tax compliance
  • Process relevant data and prepare annual tax computations
  • Claims filed directly with HMRC’s Specialist R&D Unit
  • Prepare R&D audits
  • Completing CT600
  • Tax GL reconciliation
  • Defending any R&D inspections
  • Maintaining relationships within HMRC
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of taxation areas including transfer pricing, R&D claims, Patent Box and Double tax relief

Essential Skills:

  • Candidates should be ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Advanced communication (written and verbal)
  • Organisational and project management skills

You must be a team player, working alongside the other staff (nannies, driver/handyman & PAs). You must have experience of working as a housekeeper in large London homes, be able to plan your work schedule effectively & have a real eye for detail. The family are very down to earth, friendly and will treat everyone as part of the family. The family like to entertain a lot so you may be required to help at dinner parties and so on. Experience of silver service would be advantageous but not a necessity.

Charming family living in Notting Hill (W2) are looking for an experienced housekeeper to join them on a live in basis (they will consider live out for exceptional candidates).

The property is large (8000sqft) with 8 bedrooms, which have been made into 4 very large suites. You will work alongside other members of staff, including a live out housekeeper who works 10am – 3pm and has been with them for 18 years! There is also a nanny, taking care of the 2 boys aged 5 and 8 years old (so you must like children!), a PA for the family and a lady who comes in 2 days a week to do the ironing.

You will be responsible for sharing the housekeeping workload, grocery & household shopping, some basic cooking would be great, dealing with contractors, window cleaners, deliveries and so on.  A real muck in attitude and a team player.

They are looking for someone kind natured with a caring personality. You must have longevity in previous roles (their staff have been with them 10+ years) with great references.

Your accommodation is own bedroom, bathroom + living area and kitchenette on the lower ground floor.

Ideal hours will either be around 7am – 3pm or 2/3pm – 7/8pm. Tuesday – Saturday or Sunday – Thursday. Flexible for the right person.
