A rare and interesting opportunity in a successful investment company has arisen for a polished and degree-qualified candidate to both support the chairman and the company more generally. The role would suit someone who has supported at principal or CEO-level in a dual role and has a roll-up-the-sleeves attitude. 10 years+ in a demanding and diverse role will be expected, as will the gravitas and experience to get things done. Able to lead by example and gain the respect of colleagues and external contacts quickly. Top communication skills with a highly professional approach tinged with a good sense of humour and a results-driven manner of working. Your experience and involvement will serve to free up time, and you will become a pivotal part of life in all respects and will be much relied upon.

The role will be based in the London office of 8 and you will assist with office management. You will strike up an excellent working relationship with colleagues. Able to take meetings and report back with detailed action to be taken. This is a new role created to bring energy and time to all parties and is an interesting and diverse role for someone who relishes variety, challenge and responsibility.

Experience with managing, overseeing and supporting real estate refurbishment projects (either corporate or residential) is essential. Acting as the liaison with key contractors and professionals. Running a very busy and constantly changing diary with the ability to prioritise with ease. Managing a busy travel schedule with detailed itineraries. Arranging insurances, overseeing purchases and inventories both in the UK and abroad. Assisting with the running of real estate and liaison with other support staff, including interviewing and hiring staff when needed. Maintaining and overseeing budgets and payment of expenses. Arranging events, dinners and social activities. Assisting with any catering requirements, invitations & responses and purchasing gifts.

Financially astute and focused on obtaining excellent results you will have outstanding attention to detail. Able to produce reports and schedules on projects, outlining expenses and projected expenses. Carrying out research on specific projects and requests and seeing them through from beginning to end. Able to pre-empt potential issues and confident to take certain decisions and act autonomously when required.

Requires flexible attitude to availability and working hours, including weekends, with ability to travel at short notice. Well-spoken and immaculate presentation is essential as you will acting in a representative capacity at meetings. Top references will be required, both verbal and written. Total discretion and confidentiality is paramount. Ability to speak German desirable but not required. A love of dogs is a must.
