Full-time nanny in Notting Hill

£11-13 net per hour, DOE

Job Descriptions

A positive, smiley nanny who loves kids is required to join a busy household based in Notting Hill with 2 adults and 4 children (boy, boy, boy, girl) aged 12,10,9,5. The nanny will work alongside another (live in) nanny and must be a team player.

It is important the nanny is organised, good at homework, fluent English speaker, great if they are good at phonics and must be able to hold good authority with the children and not be a pushover! Should be patient, firm, but fair. The nanny must be an excellent cook too and must enjoy cooking as this is a large part of the job. This will involve picking up local ingredients day to day and sorting out Ocado orders and doing meal planning. There are 2 nannies so there is time to share these jobs together, so you must be able to work with one another. You will also be required to make the mother's lunch and evening meal (even if just a salad, nothing fancy).

The nanny must be highly energetic and physically fit – very important - it is a fast-paced, boy heavy household, and sporty – 3 boys in the family who love football. Must be someone young, with a spring in their step, who loves children, is enthusiastic, full of energy and really wants to do the job. Essential that the nanny is sporty. You may be asked to travel with the family on their holidays (this would be a working travel holiday). Children are all at school, so are out during the day in term time but the nanny will need to do drop-offs, pickups, take to after school clubs, organise rotas etc. They must be completed on the ball, the client is busy and will need someone to be able to ‘get on with it with no direction’.

Someone confident and fun, comfortable in their own skin would be great. The nanny does not require lots of nanny qualifications, but it is very important they are full of positive energy, organised and a team player and really care about the family and the job. They must also be able to cope with 4 children on their own at times, therefore some previous experience in similar roles is essential. The live in nanny will help to train this new nanny when they join. A driver would be a bonus, but not essential.
