Housekeeper Laundress in Chelsea

Busy family with school children and a friendly dog living in a large house in Chelsea are looking for a highly experienced laundress housekeeper. You will be responsible for the household laundry, principals’ clothes and the cleaning of communal areas in the household alongside their live in housekeeper nanny.

The family home is a large 6-bedroom house with a garden. The Housekeeper & Laundress role is a central position within the family household interacting with the children’s nannies, additional staff, and the family themselves.

You must be flexible, positive, self-motivated, and willing to work independently as well as part the wider household team.

Duties will include but not be limited to:
• Wash all clothes
• Collecting laundry and putting away
• Arrange and collect dry-cleaning for special garments
• Steam and iron all clothes and household linens
• Mend any clothes and carrying out simple alterations
• Sew in children’s school labels
• Tidy and arrange clothes within each wardrobe distributing clothes correctly to each room
• Sort and take items for dry cleaning
• Seasonal organisation of wardrobes
• Cleaning and polishing all shoes, as applicable
• Packing & unpacking for trips
• Occasional reselling of designer clothes, shoes and handbags
• Change the bed linen and towels on a weekly basis
• Support the other Housekeeper with the cleaning of communal areas of the house

The family are looking for someone long term and to start ASAP.

Hours are: Tuesday to Saturday, 9am - 7pm
Salary will depend on individual, but up to £45,000 neg.

A drivers license with experience in London would be a bonus
