A busy businessman living in a large 8-bedroom home 45 minutes outside of Dublin (Wicklow County), Ireland is seeking an experienced couple to replace the current housekeeper who has been there 20 years! Please note, for now the client is only considering applicants who are already based in Ireland.

The principal is looking for a couple who are kind, professional and hardworking with exceptional attention to detail.

The domestic couple role is split as Housekeeper / Cook and Estate Manager / Grounds man / All Rounder.

Between you, you will manage the running of the home and estate.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

Estate Manager / Grounds man / All Rounder

• Maintenance of the main home and outbuildings.

• Assisting the gardeners outside maintaining lawns, hedges and so on.
• General DIY and maintenance tasks.
• Oversee contractors.
• Occasional driving duties and valeting cars.
• Security of the property/grounds.
• Looking after 2 small dogs/occasional dog sitting.
• Any other tasks asked by the principal in relation to the running of the estate.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

Housekeeper / Cook

• Keep the house clean to a very high standard.
• Washing, ironing and wardrobe management.
• Making beds and changing linen.
• Keep utility stocked with products required for house maintenance/cleaning.
• Care for silverware and fine furnishings.
• Care for antiques and artwork appropriately.
• Looking after 2 small dogs/occasional dog sitting.
• Catering for and serving at dinner parties, able to produce menu plans and presentable meals

The principal has 2 small friendly dogs who are very much part of the household! So you must be comfortable (and ideally love!) around dogs.

Starting: ASAP (handover will be given)

Location: Wicklow, 45 mins from Dublin

Hours: Monday to Friday with flexibility for some weekends (time off in lieu given)

Salary: Negotiable c. 60,000 Euros joint GPA

Accommodation: Beautiful 2 bed cottage with own garden within the grounds of the main residence. Utilities included and car provided.
