Domestic Couple for an Estate in West Berkshire – October start.

Experienced, Enthusiastic & proactive couple required to help run a modernised, period country home. Housekeeping, laundry, household provisioning and grocery shopping. You will  be able to provide good homemade meals - (mainly on a Sat & Sun +  Mon/Tues lunch) the wife tends to cook the evening meals during the week. The couple enjoy local, fresh produce, homemade bread etc.

Other staff are employed in the house and grounds with an adjoining small, well managed working farm. General household maintenance, plant & equipment, indoor swimming pool, fireplaces, cars and garden machinery.

Lovely spacious modernised accommodation within the grounds. Excellent references essential. Trustworthy, reliable, non-smokers with driving licence and English speaking. 

You must have relevant experience working as a couple for private country homes, with longevity in previous roles.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            

The main house consists of 6 bedrooms all en-suite, 2 formal reception rooms with lots of artwork + antiques. 5 acre garden and kitchen garden. Whole estate grounds are 100 acres including lakes, woodland and the small working farm (small herd of highland cattle).

Hours: 5 days a week, with usually Wed/Thurs as your days off

Location: West Berkshire, close to Reading

Starting: Mid-October 2018
