Our client is looking for a proactive and experienced housekeeper PA with come basic cooking skills, who is able to take on some household & personal admin duties as well. The Principal often travels once a month for work and at those times the housekeeper will need to be able to stay overnight (up to 5 nights) to supervise her teenage daughter (15 years old). They also have a friendly family cat!

The client is happy to consider 2 working schedules:

Option 1:
2/2.30pm - 7/7.30pm Monday to Friday with ability to work full time/sole care once a month up to 5 nights when the client travels with work. Salary £25 gross per hour overtime.

Option 2:
Full time 8-10 hours a day with ability to work full time/sole care once a month up to 5 nights when the client travels with work. £42,000 - £50,000 GPA.

Role Overview:
The family have had the same nanny employed for 8 years who is moving on, and as their daughter is older the role has now changed.
As the Housekeeper Cook/Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in running the household smoothly. From top to bottom, you will oversee all aspects of housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, and ironing. Cooking, with special attention to a nut allergy. Additionally, you will handle personal admin tasks, errands, and the receipt of deliveries, organising repairs, MOT and anything else required to ensure the home is ran at a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage household operations efficiently, acting as the backbone of the home
- Provide attentive care for the 15 year old, including meal preparation, oversight of her activities & occasional school runs.

a superb role has arisen for a degree standard  Senior Private PA with 10 years + as a Private PA and in depth experience with large renovations and recruiting and mentoring household staff (both in the UK and Europe)

Supporting a very hands on and likeable Principal who has 4 grown children and 5 properties (to include a large central London home, ski chalet and country estate all fully staffed.

You will lead by example and be very hands on and flexible.  Able to build relationships quickly and be at the front of the recruitment process with regards to Household Staff and keeping things running smoothly.  Staff management and pre-empting problems will come as second nature to you and you will be a collaborative team player who is able to get the best out of people.       

You will travel to the various properties about once every two months and spend a little time at the ski chalet during the season.  Flexible to travel should there be an urgent matter that needs attending.

The Principal will count on you to be a true right hand in all aspects so your reliability and commitment must be 100%.  Able to think outside of the box and contribute when needed the Principal is involved in all aspects of the design and rebuild of their large Central London property and dealing with the other properties so you will work closely with the Principal throughout the renovation.  You will organise maintenance, suppliers, trades and schedules for the properties and keep everything up to scratch.

The house in Central London will be where your office will eventually be situated.  You will have excellent emotional intelligence and be able to judge circumstances clearly and make good judgement calls.

Our UHNW client is looking for an experienced House Manager who is capable on taking on a large household team. You will have an ability to oversee maintenance projects with effectively managing the finance inventory and minimise wastage and spending.  The client wants to overhaul some processes that are outdated and the House Manager will be to effectively implement these and support and guide the household team in adapting to these changes. 
You will provide leadership position for all house staff indicated, and be responsible for the health, safety and welfare of the staff and clients.
As the House Manager you will have complete authority, responsibility and accountability as it encompasses the house, except where authority is expressly denied.
You must have the ability and understanding to work flexible days/hours as needed based on demand of the house.
You must have worked as a House Manager in a large, fully staffed and busy household ideally with some multiple property management experience. 

Your duties as the House Manager will include but are not limited to:
Planning

  • The ability to develop, with the aid of key staff members, strategies and programs to ensure the attainment of the house goals and objectives.
  • The ability to prepare a comprehensive annual operating plan, for all departments in the house with addendum plans for maintenance, repair, sanitation, energy conservation and uniform replacement.
