Job Description
An affectionate, down-to-earth family of four based in Hampstead Village are seeking a daily nanny to join them on a long-term basis. They are looking for an experienced, kind, and dependable nanny who is confident caring for toddlers and preschool-aged children.
The nanny’s primary focus will be the care and development of the youngest child (14 months), with responsibilities including:
- Planning and implementing stimulating, age-appropriate activities
- Attending local classes and playgroups (e.g., music sessions)
- Preparing healthy meals and snacks
- Supporting developmental milestones and routines
The role also includes nursery drop-offs for the older child (aged 3.5), who attends a nearby nursery within walking distance. As the mother prepares to return to work, the nanny will play a key role in helping to establish and maintain consistent daily routines.
This is a sole-charge position during working hours, although the family values a collaborative approach and appreciates nannies who are communicative, proactive, and aligned with their gentle parenting style.
Additional Details:
- A housekeeper is employed three days per week to manage household laundry and cleaning
- The family has prior experience employing a nanny and understands the importance of a respectful, professional relationship
- The home is located just 5 minutes from Hampstead Underground station

There’s also an opportunity to travel abroad with the family, but this is not a requirement.
Ideal Candidate:
- Fluent English speaker
- Experienced with toddlers and early years; an Early Years qualification is highly desirable.
- Warm, calm, loving and reliable, someone who enjoys engaging with children and is attuned to their emotional and developmental needs.
- Confident, organised and able to take initiative while respecting the family's informal, down-to-earth approach.
- Ideally local to Hampstead or familiar with the area, living within a 30 to 40-minute commute.

- This is a long-term role, with the family keen to retain the nanny's support even once the youngest begins nursery.
