Live in Housekeeper / Carer in Hampshire

We are looking for a fantastic live-in Housekeeper to work within a beautifully refurbished house. 
The Principal and his Family have recently moved to Hampshire to be closer to the grandchildren, and the Family are looking for a live-in housekeeper to join the team. You will work alongside a House Manager and another live-out Housekeeper.  This is a long-term position to a respectful, successful and low-key Family, with strong values.

Start Date: ASAP


Property – This is the main home for the Principal, his wife, and his elderly parents. From time to time 
there will also be visiting family members. 


-  7 bedroom main house with an adjoining annex for grandparents, and a residential stable block
-  17 Acres of grounds, which include landscaped gardens, a tennis court, a barn media room as well as garages 


Characteristics 
-  Must have at least 5 years’ experience working in a similar role
-  Enthusiasm and commitment to get the job done well
-  A kind individual, with experience working with elderly people preferred, experience caring or any relevant qualifications 
-  Knowledge of dispensing medications 
-  High attention to detail
-  Ability to work collaboratively and harmoniously as part of a team
-  Being one step ahead, and pre-empting the Family’s requirements 
-  Outgoing and confident personality
-  Discreet and professional at all times 
-  Must be able to drive
-  Must speak English


Housekeeper - Household Responsibilities
-  To have a very high standard of cleaning:
-  Clean and maintain the interior of the main house and annex buildings 
-  Experience with dealing with laundry and delicate fabrics, hand washing as would be doing all household laundry
-  Ensure the linen, curtains, blinds and fabrics are kept clean and laundered
-  Sensitive to the requirements of elderly grandparents as assistance and care are required
-  Driving them to medical appointments 
-  Able to assist in the kitchen when required, cooking/food prep at least once a week including serving, and setting the table 
-  Responsible for the daily upkeep of the house
-  Running errands when required
-  To work alongside the House Manager and the other live-out Housekeeper to ensure consistently 
smooth running of the house 


Hours
-  To work a five-day week (25-32 hrs per week) with at least one weekend per month including a Sunday night
-  Days will be given in lieu for any weekend work 
-  Flexibility is key 


Other  
-  Living Accommodation:
•  Brand new en-suite bedroom in the annex, this is adjoined to the main house.
•  Shared living room/staff break out area
•  The successful applicants will have their references checked and undergo preemployment screening
-  28 days paid holiday days (including bank holidays)
-  Salary: in line with experience
