Our friendly and welcoming client seeks a dynamic, passionate, and dedicated couple to manage their stunning equestrian estate in the heart of the Irish countryside. The estate features an 800sqm home, stables with horses, dogs, and picturesque gardens and grounds. The ideal couple will take pride and find joy in their roles, ensuring the estate runs smoothly and maintains its high standards.

As a Housekeeper, your primary responsibility will be to maintain the home's pristine condition, achieving a level of cleanliness and presentation akin to hotel standards. Your duties will include meticulous attention to laundry, ironing, bed changing, and towel folding, along with managing household supply inventories. Respect for privacy and discretion within the home is paramount.

The Groundsman/Estate Maintenance role involves caring for the extensive gardens and grounds, including lawn maintenance, leaf sweeping, and watering, supported by a garden service team every fortnight. You will assist with stable maintenance and horse care, walk and look after the family dog, and manage other animals when the owners are away. Additionally, you will handle general estate maintenance tasks such as paddock checks, fencing, water supply management, and upkeep of the indoor arena. Basic vehicle maintenance, occasional driving duties, and monitoring of the estate's security systems are also part of the role. A proactive approach to tasks and pride in maintaining the estate's high standards are essential.

Candidates must demonstrate pride in their work, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work independently while taking initiative. Comfort and genuine enjoyment around animals, especially horses and dogs, are crucial, as is a love for countryside living. Previous experience in similar roles is preferred. Discretion, respect for privacy, and excellent boundaries are necessary. Flexibility in schedules to accommodate hosting guests or travel is also required. A clear and recent DBS check, excellent references, and a driving license are essential.

Accommodation is provided in a charming, semi-furnished 3-bedroom gatehouse on the estate, with well-behaved pets welcome. A car is also provided for the couple's use. The position offers a competitive combined salary of €80,000, along with a discretionary yearly bonus, and overtime or time in lieu for extra hours worked.
